If you use a third-party e-mail client, such as Eudora, Thunderbird, or Outlook, you can configure that program to pick up and send e-mail from your new e-mail address.
E-mail address:
[username]@[yourdomain]
Username:
[username]+[yourdomain]
POP3 (incoming) server:
mail.[yourdomain]
SMTP (outgoing) server:
mail.[yourdomain]
- SMTP server does require Authentication
- SMTP server does not require SSL
For example, if your e-mail address was mymail@mydomain.com, where “mymail” corresponds to [username] and “mydomain.com” corresponds to [yourdomain], your settings would be as follows:
E-mail address:
mymail@mydomain.com
Username:
mymail+mydomain.com
POP3 (incoming) server:
mail.mydomain.com
SMTP (outgoing) server:
mail.mydomain.com
