We can guide your web site design from start to finish — or we can handle whichever of those services that you require assistance with. We do not provide pre-packaged, one-size-fits-all web services. We design each web site to fit each client’s unique needs, and we deliver only the services that you require. If you already have a web presence, we can help you streamline or maintain it.
Our Web Design Process
We use a three-stage process when designing and implementing your web site:
Stage one: We work with you to determine your project’s individual needs and scope. We provide you with an estimate of your web site costs, based on those needs. One-third of that estimate is due to us upon acceptance of our bid.
Stage two: We develop your design templates and present them to you for your feedback and approval. This process may be repeated to assure that we are meeting your needs. If we determine at this point that we need to re-evaluate your needs, we will submit an adjusted bid based on any changes to the scope of your web design needs. Once you approve the final design templates, another third of our estimate will be billed.
Stage three: We develop your web site based on your approved templates. The final third of our estimate will be billed upon delivery of your completed web site. At this stage, we adjust the final bill for actual billable hours. If your web site design took us less time than we estimated, you will only be billed for the actual hours we put in to completing your web site.
If your web site design took us more time than we estimated, and we failed to return to stage one and negotiate an adjusted bid, you will only be billed for the estimate which you approved.
Additionally, if you decide you want to develop your own web site after determining the scope of your needs with us, you will only be billed for those hours. If you decide at stage two that you would like to write your own web pages based on our templates, you will only be billed for the work completed.
We will never sell you services you do not need.
Web Site Review
If you already have a web site and would like to streamline it, we can handle that too. We will review your existing web site for ease of navigation, clarity, and layout. We will provide a report on HTML and browser compatibility, broken links, and suggestions for ways to improve the layout of your web site.
Web Site Editing
If you would like to have your existing web site edited, we can provide a site review, and proofread for spelling, grammar, and punctuation as well. Depending on your needs and wishes, we can make major editorial revisions ourselves, or provide suggestions instead. We will discuss this with you beforehand so that we have a clear idea of your needs and wishes, and so that we can work within your budget.
Web Site Maintenance
We also provide web site maintenance for a nominal fee, charged monthly or annually. We can update web pages with your new content, check for and repair broken links, or add new pages as needed.
Graphic Design
We can design buttons, bars, text art, title graphics, and banner graphics for you. If you are looking for high-end graphic design or flash animation, we recommend ToadHouse Studios, one of our vendor partners. We can negotiate rates for you and include them in a single bill for your convenience, or if you prefer, you may negotiate with our vendor partners independently.
